43rd Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia / President’s anniversary message

Monday 22 June 2020 is the 43rd anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia, founded on 22 June 1977 from the uniting of the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational churches. Dr Deidre Palmer, President of the Uniting Church in Australia has shared an anniversary message in the video below.

"On this anniversary, we give thanks to God for who we are and from where we’ve come.But we also look forward to where we are going." said Dr Palmer.
"Towards an inter-generational and multicultural Christian community, centred in Christ, led by the innovative, creative Holy Spirit of God."
Dr Palmer recommends members read the Assembly's new advocacy document, Build Back Better. A Just Recovery post COVID-19, and issued a warm invitation to UCA members to attend her President's conference in October.
